The Barmah hat product line has long been a favorite of mine. I previously owned one hat which steadfastly endured five years of use. This is a remarkable testament to its durability, especially considering the hot, humid climate and significant perspiration exposure in my region.
Its eventual demise occurred during an archaeological field expedition in the jungle and mountains, where a thorny branch aggressively snagged the brim and tore it. Unsurprisingly, I immediately ordered a replacement from Australiangear. Although the delivery process was a little slow and presented a few logistical hurdles, the challenges were manageable and well-understood.

Inevitably, on my very first use after unboxing—I wore the new Barmah hat back into the forest—the predictable happened. It was snagged by a thorn, leaving a deep mark that nearly tore it. While I felt a pang of regret, the Barmah hat once again performed its duty with distinction, protecting my head perfectly. I will remain a lifelong Big Fan of Barmah hats.
